African Bioeconomy University (ABU) is envisioned as a continental hub for education, research, and innovation in the bioeconomy. ABU aims to harness Africa鈥檚 rich biodiversity, indigenous knowledge, and scientific potential to build sustainable, inclusive, and resilient economic systems.
As the first of its kind in Africa, ABU will focus on developing leaders, researchers, and practitioners capable of advancing bio-based industries in agriculture, health, energy, environment, and biotechnology for the green and circular economy.
